10 Helpful Hints From A Domesticated Goddess

Even though I do a lot of womanual labor I'm going to keep this post mostly about the house work. I have been a house wife for like 99% of my adult like. Most of that time I was blessed with lets just call them difficult children. Loved, but very difficult. I think I have some info that might help out other people.

1. If you want to avoid doing the dishes write a blog post. You don't feel guilty about sitting on your ass because you're being productive.

2. If your bad ass kids keep tearing down the curtains put them up with velcro. They sell it in big long strips. You put the big long strip across the top of the window. I like to sew on little squares of it to the curtain so it makes that bunched look like it is on a rod. You can open it and close it just like normal curtains but when they get tore down it doesn't mess up your wall.

3. Mr clean magic erasers! Do you remember way back when that movie encino man came out? When the cave man defrosted and wreck shop on the house?

Most days that is what my house looks likes. But when I do get around to cleaning my walls it takes all that crap off. It also does a great job on pots and pans. 

4. Swiffer duster. The one that comes with a big stick to put it on. I don't dust as often as I should, but if it wasn't for those things it probably would never happen and I would live in a house that looked like it belonged in a scooby doo cartoon. I forget what a gross person I am till I dust my ceiling fans... Then it's like oh that's right, I'm gross. But it makes it real easy. For some reason I thought the ceiling mirror I have in my living room was awesome till I found it is always filthy. I put that things on and dust everything. I pretend I'm using a magic wand to make the dust disappear, but that is just me you don't have to do that. 

5. The shark steam mop. My mom got me one for Christmas the year before last and this thing rocks my socks. I'm cheap so the fact that you don't have to buy anything for it is great for me. Just put some water in it. Use it. Put it up. No buckets to try to keep your kids from playing in. No chemicals. Plus it makes normal mops look like stupid bitches. It will get up crayon, marker, dried up food, and boogers. Few seconds after you use it the floor is dry and ready to be fucked up again. 

6. You can use dawn dish soap on puppies and kittens too young for flea shampoo. It kills fleas but not your pets. So yay!

7. Keep a dog. I would suggest a large one. My dog will eat anything the kids drop on the floor. Keeps me from having to clean it up. Then when I get the baby out of the high chair I put her down the dog cleans her up to. Bonus her giant tongue mops the floor as she picks up the food. I don't know what I would do with out her. Double bonus she is also a home security device. ADT might make a very load noise but Lola will jump up and eat a robbers face off. That and she is just awesome. She warms my feet. She entertains the kids. She gives me a heads up when my baby needs to be changed. I can tell because all of a sudden Lola will follow her around like my baby has a giant dog tail. Can not speak highly enough about dogs. 

8. Decorative baskets. Not just little ones. Things like toy boxes, ceder chests, wicker baskets. I have way too much crap for my house. Every corner is filled. It really helps that I have a basket in the living room for little toys so when I'm picking up I just trow them there and the kids don't have to drag them out again all the way from their bed room. Ceder chest / entertainment center full of old VHS'. Hides my crap and makes for easy clean up.

9. If you got little boys with bad aim keep bleach wipes in the bathroom. I would leave them right out where god and everyone can see. If you have company and someone sneaks in to use the restroom and your kids have showered the toilet with urine they don't have to hold it. They can just whip it down. Most moms are use enough to dealing with that stuff where this will be a minor annoyance at most. If they are too good to wipe off the pee seat they can just hold it. Plus it reminds you to whip it down and it makes it real easy to do when your busy. 

10. Spray air freshener right into where your air conditioner is sucking up the air. It makes your whole house smell fantastic in like 5 sec.  

Don't worry about it too damn much. I love a clean house. I use to have one. It smelt nice. Looked nice. But I'm not going to make myself miserable over it! TTFN  

Before You Talk About Old White Men

Before you talk about about old white men remember ALL racism is nasty and hurtful. ALL sexism is nasty and hurtful. ALL ageism is nasty and hurtful.

The picture of the man above is my Grandpa RIP. He is the greatest man I have ever had the privilege to know. And for as long as I have known him he was an old white man.

He was a proud southern democrat who as far as I know never said a harsh word about anyone except Rick Perry and Bush. The world would be a much better place if there was more people like him in it. He cared about people. He loved his family. He helped in his community. His image as an old white man should not be tarnished because people don't have the want to or the intelligence to acknowledge that when people suck it is not because of their race. 

It is easier to be racist. It takes time and you have to think to see someone you don't like and not associate that with their skin color. You have think to yourself their issues have nothing to do with the way they look (because I assure you they don't) it is their own individual problem, and I'm not going to judge a whole group of people, who have nothing to do with that person other then looks, badly because of them. Every person deserves to be judged by their actions and their actions alone.

When people say oh when I said white, I meant rich white people, or racist white people. That is an asshole thing to do. Being rich doesn't make you an asshole. I assume I wouldn't really know. Being white doesn't make you racist. Being racist makes you and asshole. Just say you don't like racist people. Don't apply that if they were a different color it would be cool for them to be racist. Or that white people are racist. We don't have the monopoly on racism.

I have been speaking out against racism my whole life. Now the only race it is socially acceptable to be racist against is white people. Ain't that some shit? 

When people talk about privileged white kids, thats me. As far as I can tell the only thing it has made me privileged to is I get called white trash instead of (insert racial slur here). I don't know if there is some club that I wasn't invited where you can get some kind of white people free pass in life, but I doubt it because you can't get much whitter then me without being transparent. 

People use their past as an excuse to be racist. Oh well white people have done something bad to me so now I have the right to judge all white people on their actions. I haven't fucking did shit to you. My family has not done shit to you. My kids have as sure as shit not done shit to you!

Then there are people who will say something racist about white people then say oh it's ok I'm white. Well being white doesn't give you some kind of asshole immunity either. Saying racist shit about your own race is still just saying racist shit, except it fucking weirder. 

Well the top to 2% are mostly white is another excuse I have heard. So fucking what? They were born in to money because that is just how shit worked out. Trust me they are not running out to give money and opportunity to the rest of us white people. Helping the people they are related to helps them. They might dislike other racist more I don't know I really doubt they care. The point is still doesn't fucking matter even rich people should be judged by their actions and not race. Saying that (insert race here) men should not have money and opportunities is no worse then saying white men should not have money and opportunities.  Saying that old white men are not fit to be in government is not better then saying old (insert race here) men are not fit to be in government 

I'm not saying there is more racism towards white people or that racism towards white people is worse. They are all equally shitty and shouldn't be done! 

P.S. Being white does not keep you from getting arrested. I have been arrested twice for stupid bullshit.

While I was in jail some one told me to ask the jailer for a blanket "because you're white". Shit if that did me any good why the hell was I there in the first place? If I was going to ask for any favors before I was in the cell would have been the time I would have asked for it. 

U.S. Birth Rate Hits Lowest Level in Centuries

I was reading this article about how the US birth rate has dropped to the lowest level in centuries. The article says it is because of the economic crisis. Don't get me wrong I'm sure that did keep some women from having babies.
I'm guessing there are a lot of causes for the drop but I'm thinking at least one of them has to be GMO foods.
I know adult like to plan pregnancies even though the majority of pregnancy are not planned. Not sure how the economy would effect birth rates so much when the cdc said in 2001 50% of pregnancies were unplanned. Lets look at a group who for the most part never intend to get pregnant.

GMO foods hit the market in the early 90's when teen pregnancy rates were super high. Then even though we had a great economy birth rates dropped not just for teens

You see a big deep in birthrates during the great depression , when people get birth control, and a lesser deep when GMO's hit the market. Today unlike during the great depression American's are not malnourished which would also explain a drop in birthrate.

Europe labels GM foods and Germany has outlawed them all together. 

Even with out all this I think people should have the right to know if they are eating GM foods. We shouldn't have to be their lab rats. Please write/call/email anyone who will listen. Tell them you don't want GM foods. Plus if you can please buy organic and local! 

P.S. Also life expectancy has dropped. I don't think GM foods are the only reason for this stuff. I just think it probably has something to do with it.

This might come as a bit of a suprise because of the whole hippie thing, but I would never advise someone to give birth at home. Statistically the baby has better odes of surving in a hospital. Not enough were I think they should out law it or something just people need to be careful. I can see why people would want a home birth. Hospitals suck, some stranger is poking you in your privates, hospitals suck (I know I put it twice it sucks that bad), with that many people in the room odds are at least one of them are going to be an asshole, and much more. Just try to find a doctor and situation you like. If it was either a home birth or some of the hospitals I've been in I would do the home birth, but for the most part no.
I'm glad there are people who do this though. Since hospitals and Pharmaceutical companies are getting so corrupt I'm glad there is another option. Who knows maybe one day they can have a mobile birthing thing where not only the super rich can have the whole NICU come to your house when you pop out a baby.

The problem is doctors/pharmaceutical companies/government are corrupt. They don't want people not paying the hospital when they give birth. You know how much every baby makes for a hospital? For every doctor? It is mind blowing.

The state mandating that you give your kids vaccines even when they admit that the vaccines could kill them. If more kids die from the measles vaccines then the so called measles outbreak last year how can you blame people for being more worried about the vaccines?

How can you trust cps when the more disabled children they take away from parents the more money they get? There should not be ANY incentive to take a child out of a good home. I'm not against CPS I'm sure most of the people are great, but just one bad person can ruin so many peoples lives. But I'm getting off track.
  
Why don't they go after the mom's who smoke and drink their whole pregnancy? How come it's ok for a mom to blow cigarettes smoke in a babies face all day when if some one sprayed a baby with anything else that bad they would lock them up or at least sue the crap out of them. Because drinking and smoking makes corporations money. A house full of kids with asthma makes ass loads for a pharmaceutical company. You know what doesn't? Having your baby at home and not pumping them full of drugs. That is why when you take your kids to the doctor they are way more likely to pump them full of very pricey drugs then tell them to get out side and exercise. Exercise is free! Doctors don't get paid for not prescribing pills. Plus parents don't want to hear that shit. They don't want to hear that there is not a problem with their kids other then their parents don't make them go out side and play and eat right. Doping them up is easier then dealing with it.
I know some kids need medication. If your kids are one of them, give them medication. But there are a lot of kids that don't need it!  Your the parent. That doctor doesn't even know your kids. Studies have shown that exercise can be as effective as paxil at relieving depression. Again easier said then done, but think it over.

Of course the government doesn't want to make it easy to breast feed. They don't want to lose out on all that sweet sweet illness that breast milk prevents. Allergies, asthma, and diabetes just to name a few. Big money makers. Add that to the crazy money people get from selling formula. I know people don't like to think about how corporations would put babies in danger for profit, but we know they do. Take fucking Nestle for example. Going to 3rd world countries giving moms enough free samples for their milk to dry up so they would have to buy more. Or if they couldn't their babies didn't eat. I'm glad there is formula readily available, but BREAST IS BEST!

I'm not saying we all need to be Amish. I just like moderation. Nothing is just black and white. We can have doctors, meds, and government be good things. I adore science! But we can't let money control what controls the people. We have to keep our options open and keep our eyes on this stuff. Watch our asses!
     

Things that make me feel stabby

Ok so can we just agree that the next time we hear someone talking about how global warming is a myth and people can't effect the weather that we should punch them in the throat?

At first I thought it was mostly harmless ignorance mixed with greed. So the greedy ones were more to blame then the ignorant ones. It's not their fault rich people can buy studies that say that global warming isn't really happening. Even if that is getting harder to do. Plus yes over the billions of years the earth has been around the temperature has changed. I don't see how they can use this as an excuse at the same time claiming that the world is only a few thousand years old. But I'm changing my position the ignorant are just as guilty.

I don't think scientist are always right. I don't even think anyone knows exactly what is going to happen. But most of us have been around a while. We would have noticed if climate change was always happening as quickly as it is happening now. Why would they put a bunch of dangerous chemicals in stuff made for children. They know they are doing it. They don't slip and fall and oops there are chemicals in sun screen. People don't take care of themselves. I'm guilty of this myself. Before I had kids I really didn't give a crap about how I treated my body. Now I do and it is hard. It's like America is against being healthy. Not just by sucky labeling and a increasingly lazy life style, but people's attitudes in general. When I talk about wanting to buy organic people act like I'm doing a bad thing! Like some how me trying to be healthier offends them somehow. They are like that is dumb it's food blah blah blah. There is some kind of weird stigma on people who exercise a lot to. I can't really explain it. Most of the people in my life were real supportive when I decided I was going to walk 2 miles a day. When people find out you exercise they seem supportive and they look at you like your a freak. That might just be me I get that look a lot. I'm not just talking about obese people. They do get a raw deal. It's not like being skinny = healthy. But usually the same things that cause us to be unhealthy cause people to be fat. Bad diet, not exercising. Plus it causes bad circulation and puts other strains on your body. Skinny people can have bad circulation and added stress, but by less obvious reasons.
The reason people being unhealthy pisses me off is because they like to bitch about it. It also adds to health care cost and it's a bummer, but for the most part it pisses me off because of the bitching. If you don't like being over weight, or not being able to breath, or being on all kinds of meds do something about it.

Pharmaceutical companies! I'm not going to go into too much detail because this is all ready going to be a long post.  

They pay doctors to give out their drugs to trusting "patients" then claim that the ass loads of money doesn't sway their decisions. They buy government to pass the laws they want. So they have their hands up politicians and doctors like fucking puppets and it sucks for this country and people in it.

My Great Idea!

My idea is to make a large rat trap. Pad the wire in foam for safety. Then place it in the places you tell your kids to stay out of. Plus I'm going to put a very loud alarm on it. So when your kids stick their dirty little mitts in that cabinets you told them a MILLION time not to get into they get smacked and the crap scared out of them!

You don't have to spank. You don't have to feel bad because you told them not to do it! Plus you get the imitate cause and results that is great while training.

This will keep them safe plus maybe the next time you tell them to do something they will listen!

Utah is trying to make being sexually suggestive illegal. They claim they will only use this to lock up prostitutes but then again whose definition of prostitute are we going by anyways? I don't trust any state that sells wimpy Sunday beer.

Oh yeah leave hookers alone law makers! Everyone is a hooker in one way or another. Besides how can it be legal for the government to tell consenting adult what to do with their bodies? I'm almost positive if I started going through the constitution I would find something saying that is NOT OK! just STOP IT! 


Then try to turn around and say it's for our own good!? Have the balls to say "The intent is to target prostitutes, especially underage ones who are forced into the sex trade and trained to evade arrest, Seelig said. The arrest would be the first step in helping them get off the streets, she said."  No one is buying your it's for the children explanation! If you want to help children arrest the people forcing them to have sex! Arrest the people having sex with them! Then give them alternatives! You know what is good for children? Sure as hell not being arrested for being raped! They seem to forget that under aged CHILDREN can not consent to sex with an adult! How can you be selling sex when you can't consent to sex? Any person being "FORCED" into the sex trade is not a prostitute they are rape victims! You ass!

TX New Sonogram Bill

Today Rick Perry signed into Law the new sonogram bill. A lot of people have been asking questions about this so I thought I would post a great article about it. But I wanted to share a kind of epiphany I got while reading this article. I don't know how many people know this but if your not that far a long they use a vaginal probe to do the sonogram. I knew this was a terrible, horrible, intrusive law. Now thinking about how some woman are going to go in for an aborting and by law be forced to be vaginally probed while the doctor describes what is going on inside her, to her, makes me want to cry.
That sounds like a horror movie more then any law. It is a sad day for Texas.

Texas is one of several U.S. states with strong Republican legislative majorities proposing new restrictions on abortion this year. The Republican governor had designated the bill as an emergency legislative priority, putting it on a fast track.

Under the law, women will have to wait 24 hours after the sonogram before having an abortion, though the waiting time is two hours for those who live more than 100 miles (160 km) from an abortion provider.

"Governor Perry was pleased to sign this important legislation, which bolsters our efforts to protect life by ensuring Texans are fully informed when considering such an important decision," said Katherine Cesinger, a spokeswoman for the governor.

A sonogram is an imaging technique using high-frequency sound waves to produce images of a developing baby in a woman's uterus.

Under the measure, women will be offered the option of hearing the heartbeat and seeing the sonogram image, which they may decline. But the woman's doctor must describe the image, explaining the size of the embryo or fetus and the presence of organs and limbs.

In certain cases, including those involving rape and incest victims or serious fetal abnormalities, the woman could decline to hear the description of the sonogram.

Opponents of the legislation said the law interferes in the doctor-patient relationship by adding a government requirement for a procedure that could be traumatizing to women going through an already difficult situation.

During debate on the House floor in March, Democratic state Representative Carol Alvarado wielded a trans-vaginal probe used for sonograms early in pregnancy.

"This is government intrusion at its best," she said during that debate.

I read this article had to rant. Ok let me fill you in on why I'm so pissed right now.

No the girl who did the right thing even thought she knew there was risk is being punished! She is probably going to be home schooled for the rest of the year. And you know she wasn't the only one who saw those kids having sex. It's not like they are fucking ninjas! She was just the only ones who had the balls to say anything. I wish adults would start being fucking adults and stop blaming victims! Of course something bad is going to happen.

Republicans VS. Libertarians

I have been debating in my head on who is worse republicans or libertarians. I would have to say republicans are worse. At least the libertarians are honest about that they don't give a shit about other people's problems. Their biggest lie is calling themselves Libertarians instead of anarchist. Don't try to church it dirt.The only difference is they are wimps that want to keep the police around to make sure no one kicks their ass and takes their money. Ron Paul and Gollum from lord of the rings don't just look a like they also think a like. I could see him talking to a pile of gold say my precious the nasty poor people arn't going to take you away me wont let thems.
I don't think they have planned this out very well. I'm not a socialist I don't think we should just hand out all the wealth equally. But this country would be a giant shit hole if we let people die in the street. People and kids should be able to see doctors. Children shouldn't have to go hungry. Our country needs education. We have enough research to show that this things make a country not only a better place to live, but more stable and productive. Education lowers the chances for incarceration. Security makes people more likely to get an education. Opportunity creates not only healthy competition but less unemployment and a better society. We know it is cheaper to let sick people see a doctor then making them rush to the ER after it gets real bad. Plus people live healthier more productive lives. Greed is not good!
Not that I disagree with everything Ron Paul has done. I'm a huge fan of freedom of speech. Some times I think the government censors life too much. Also I think the government needs to stay the hell out of our business when it comes to vaccines. I think legislators should have term limits. I think we should reinstate where congress has to proclaim war. We also agree that they should take long enough to read the bill before voting on it. How is that not a law?
I think it is bullshit that he wants to give people money to send their kids to private school but don't want to fix public education. Also my uterus is none of his damn business. And how can any good society be against social security and people having health care? I take it back those fuckers are monsters. When they say live and let live it's just a nice way of saying screw you guys.

Republican politicians suck worse though. They preach about how Jesus is their co-pilot. How they will fight for the people. But by people they mean money and by Jesus they mean hookers. If someone is going to screw me I want them to look me into the eyes. Don't tell me you want smaller government and a free market then make laws on women's bodies and give billions of tax dollars to corporations making record profits. Then turn around and try to convince working people it's what is best for them. Some people aren't blinded by all your I'm a good Christian you can trust me talk and pay attention to what you are actually doing. Don't tell me you're a Christian but we need war and torture. Jesus thought we should help the poor. It was a big part of his life how did you miss this? Jesus never said anything about gay sex being bad! Sorry let me get back on topic

I know I don't always agree with the popular democrat views. Like I own a mini ruger 12 semi-automatic assault rifle among other guns. I thought Osama's pictures should be release in the name of government transparency. I agree that a lot of people on food stamps sell them and use them to buy drugs. I've seen it happen I know they aren't making it up. But drug testing everyone on food stamps would probably still be a bad idea. Plus I'm guessing the majority of people on food stamps aren't on drugs. But just because I don't agree 100% of the time I still don't see how some one could vote for those greedy lunatics.

Maybe the story of original sin wasn't that far off.

Then later I got to see the depressing story. Then I started thinking we aren’t animals more like monsters. I will post some excerpts so you don’t have to leave and read the whole depressing thing.

Well this got me thinking of original sin. I don’t really know why but hang in here with me.
People are just animals. We do bad things. When we do bad things we can just do them on a much lager scale because we can plot and plan. It’s not like animals aren’t dicks. Pigs are usually considered smart as far as animals goes. But they are racist. If you put a smaller different colored pig in to a group they will kill it. They will kill their runt babies. Ever had chickens? I can see why they nick named penises cocks they can be real dicks. I can go on and on but it’s beside the point.
Original sin was said to be caused by Eve eating from the tree of knowledge. Which I can see. If you don’t know your doing something wrong it’s not really your fault. Wrong is learned and it differs from society to society. It seems like they were trying to say if you know better that’s what makes it a sin. I can buy that.
I don’t buy that woman are evil and that is why they ate from the tree of knowledge. People think a big part of why we are how we are today is that we got totally aware that we are going to die. It probably was a woman who figured this out. I doubt anyone is more aware of the fact that people die then a mother with a child in trouble. People figured out that we are going to die. They wanted to stop it -> science. They wanted a reason and comfort -> religion (before it was used for control).  They needed help with not dying, reason, and comfort -> society.
But I’m thinking child birth was more of a cause of “original sin” then a curse because of it.

 This got me thinking about the rapture stories. I’ve been worried about how people being smart has really been messing the world up lately. Global warming from machines and pollution. Poisons from the man made pesticides. GMO foods making livestock and people sterile. And everything causes cancer. For some reason a large group of religious fanatics that think science like pollution is bad and stem cell research is good is work of the devil. Then think the science that went into making the machines and pesticides are great. Don’t want to save trees (made by god), but think pumping everyone full of pharmaceuticals for giant profit is genius.  Your Un-American if you put the planet and people’s health above profit, so I’ve been told.
Ok so I guess I don’t know where I’m going with this. I’m a big fan of science and technology. I guess I’m just worried that the end of days is going to be a self fulfilling prophecy. They think woman are the cause of people’s suffering so war on women. People with different religions are going to hell so they are our enemy. That god is the one controlling every thing so they can ignore science and let science destroy the world.
C’est la vie I guess.

The Real House Wives of Walker County.

Well today one of my kids lost the remote to the tv. This made me think today would be a great day to start on Spring cleaning. 

I dropped a container of Banana baby puff things on the floor and after I turned around to put it up the baby and the dog were eating them off the floor. No I had not had time yet to clean the floors. At least the puffs were organic. 

I have not got all the dirty laundry done yet cause by yesterday's VOMITPALOOZA! My son threw up once (everywhere) stayed home from school and was fine the rest of the day... It was actually pretty impressive he was on the top bunk so he got some distance. 

I did get the urine smell out of my sons' room (to be replaced by vomit). My two year old likes to find new and interesting places to urinate. But I have to give him some credit it has been like a week since I caught him peeing in the air conditioner vent. Yay for improvement. 

My son's in home trainer is coming tomorrow so I'm going to try to scrub off all the cave drawing on the walls. Glad my son stopped drawing stick figures that looked like they had huge penises (not sure if that was what he meant them to be) all over the place. That was a fun phase. 

And my 2 year old wont stop calling me by my first name instead of mommy. And the other two just call me WAAAAAAAAAAAAA!
My son broke the soap pump in their bathroom. Now they don't get soap. They have also lost their toothpast privileges do to their toothpaste artwork. I have to lock it up. Even prisoners can be trusted with soap and toothpaste.
I'm going to go dust, do laundry, clean the bathroom, vacuum, and sweep. While the kids follow trying to undo all my work. It's a glamorous life for me.
